CONNIE MEYER -
Vice President - Administration

Ms. Connie Meyer started her career in 1977 when she joined
Montgomery Wards as the Office Manager for a five state retail
warehouse. Responsibilities included all aspects of inventory and
control. In 1980, Ms. Meyer joined SUPERVALU, Inc. a food retailer.
During her tenure at SUPERVALU, Ms. Meyer quickly expanded her
managerial responsibilities to Corporate Accounts Payable Supervisor.
Here she supervised accounts payable and was also instrumental in
working with the IT department to develop, test, and implement the first
computerized accounts payable system for Cub Foods, a subsidiary.
Over the next years, Ms. Meyer continued to expand her managerial
responsibilities supervising the accounts receivable department where
she negotiated new shipping contracts and streamlined processing vendor
damage and payment handling, which saved tens of thousands of dollars
annually.
Ms. Meyer was later promoted to Corporate Merchandising Coordinator
where she monitored the retail merchandising process for 90 retail food
stores including advertising and pricing. Immediately prior to joining
Storage Investment Management, Inc., Ms Meyer was Accounting Services
Manager. In this position, she was responsible for all sales audit
functions for 135 retail locations and all state and local tax and
license filings. Additional responsibilities included analyzing and
publishing sales, budget, labor stats and gross profits for all retail
locations.
During her employ at SUPERVALU, Inc., Ms. Meyer also held positions as a
Full Charge Bookkeeper/Office manager for Bergmann’s Garden Center, a
family owned small business. In addition to full charge accounting, Ms.
Meyer became intimately familiar with all aspects of small business
requirements, including budgeting, cash flow projections and the like.
In 2004, Ms. Meyer joined Storage Investment Management, Inc. (SIMI) as
Accounting/Administrative Manager. Here she had responsibility for all
administrative and accounting functions for our self-storage locations
throughout the Northeastern U.S.
On May 17, 2008, Ms. Meyer graduated with distinction from Northwestern
College with a BA in Business Administration. This follows an accounting
and AAS degree. Effective May 19, 2008 Ms. Meyer has been promoted to the
position of Vice President – Administration. As a member of SIMI’s senior
management team, her responsibilities include oversight of corporate office
administrative personnel and all administration and accounting functions
companywide for SIMI.
